I just got some of the most amazing trophy pictures from my outfitter and great friend Dave Rademeyer with Northern Operations in Ethiopia. Another AR member asked me to post these pictures as well. Dave is operating fairly new in Ethiopia and pretty much took over the operation that S&S had going there. Dave has done an exceptional job taking it over and turning these areas into quality hunting areas and producing exceptional trophies. He is working on a great Buffalo area right now which will produce some great trophies as well for some lucky hunters.

I have posted 3 of the great Nyala that Dave took this year all ranging from 38 1/2 to 40".

The Leopard is one of the most beautiful Leopards I have ever seen myself.

Contact us if you have ever wanted to hunt one of the most prized antelope in Africa and we will send you the details of this hunt and all of Ethiopia to consider. We at Adam Clements Safari Trackers are very happy and excited about working with Dave in Ethiopia. Book now for a one of a kind safari!

Wow! Who crossed the Nyalas with Kudus? I've never seen such length and twist to Nyala horns. What magnificent trophies!

Incredible trophies. That leopard looks like what you find in the rainy region of southern India. That coppery colour adds a stunning dimension to a leopard. Thanks for posting.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Must be the shade of the trees keeping ths sun from fading the color?

No it is a result of the process of natural selection. The darker "light" under the canopy is matched by this colour of the leopard for better camouflage. Yes the jaguar also lives in wet forest canopy. You notice the same feature with tigers. The south Indian / wet region animals are dark amber while the northern & central Indian animals from more dry regions have a lighter amber colour. This is equally true of the leopard cat (similar to a margay).

WOW Adam, the face on that cat is so short and stocky. I love the pronounced colors as well. Never seen a leopard with such markings. Jack Sissoyev's cat (mount picture) was marked very nice, but the Ethiopia cat is even more pronounced... Thanks for sharing this... DAN

cameronaussie,
Link to Adam's website. After having gone to Ethiopia last October, it is my favorite place in Africa. Good luck, I hope you get to go.

I note on the pricelist that there is a US importation ban. How come?

Ethiopia is allowed 500 leopard exports according to CITES. When we were there we found a bushpig in a tree that a leopard had killed. Nassos said leopards were pretty easy to take as there were so many and they come in early to bait.

Apparently, Ethiopia has not saisfied the USFWS with sufficient data to allow us to import. They shoot GREAT leopards there and even some black ones. Ethiopia would be my first choice for a leopard hunt (if we could import).

Wow!!

I would have bet that bottom Nyala's mamma was a Kudu!

Great hunts, and great trophies.
Will those leopards be allowed in when USFWS is happy?

If I could afford it, a safari in the Omo would be my number one safari destination on the whole continent..
