Got a message from Topshothunter.

Apparently he is too scared of computers, so he asked me to bid on his behalf.

I would just like to say a very grateful thank you to Buzz and Myles of CMS, Saaed, Jeff, Justin and Aaron for their contributions to this auction hunt for me. Thank you to all the people who have been bidding. I am speechless but very grateful for everyone’s efforts for my cause. Words cannot properly describe how appreciative I am of everything that everyone is trying to do to help.

Thanks to my benefactor I have come a long way and now have a prosthetic arm. As a result I have been able to start hunting again. The proceeds from this hunt will contribute greatly to making life easier and will help fund my extensive trips to sort out my prosthetics.

Thank you to everyone involved.

Anthony

The Auction is closed.

Mej has agreed to take the hunt from CMS which was so generously donated.

Top has donated $17,000 to Ant and has no interest in actually hunting.

Total Raised through this CMS auction is $33,500 which will go to injured PH Anthony Howland.

My most sincere thanks to CMS, Saeed, Aaron Neilson and Late-bloomer.

Mostly my thanks to MEJ and Top as or winning bidders!!!

$33,500 !!!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Top is a good friend of mine, but he does not hunt, or even shoot.

We have known each other since childhood, and he likes to make fun of us shooters.

He found out about this auction, and was thinking of participating.

Someone - not me! - told him that if he did not win the auction, he has a surprise waiting for him.

He was going to be tied to a chair, and the 577 T.Rex will be put against his shoulders and fired.

He saw a drawing of a wooden contraption someone - again, not me! - was going to assemble to hold the rifle for this exercise.

Sadly, he got the wrong impression that all this started by me. He said he remembers certain tricks being played on him at school - I have no recollection of these either.

I keep finding myself in the rather unenviable position of being accused of all sorts of things. Mostly due to things being done by others!

But, in this case, I don't mind who did it.

It is all for a good cause.

Micheal Robinson has graciously added an additional 500.

The total to Ant stands at $34,000

This in my opinion is AR at it's finest.

To be honest, I was going to greatly reduce the amount if time I spent in AR after this auction. I have grown weary of people attacking friends of mine because certain vultures feel it is incumbent upon them to be as nasty as they want and spread as much misery as possible.

In retospect, I have met and made some awesome friends on this site. These people who likely don't even know each other helping and contributing to persons need make me feel pretty good about being involved.

I will say again this IMHO is AR at it's best.

Thanks to all who care enough to do something about it.

Jeff,

I am sure many here appreciate your positive attitude.

There will always be people here who tend to have a negative view of practically anything anyone else does.

If we listen to them, we will end up doing nothing too.

Do everything YOU feel comfortable with, and let the naysayers deal with their own mental attitude.

There is certainly enough good people on AR to offset the jackasses & the ignore function helps with that.
