Can Saeed endorse Atkinson/PVT

Mr. Almost,

I think Mike is attempting to draw a distinction between defending PVT on the mega thread, versus providing a stand-alone public endorsement. If you go to the Hunting pages (not in the forums section), there is contact information for Ganyana Safaris (Roy Vincent). That looks like an endorsement. I did not find a separate listing for PVT, although the difference in treatment may be inadvertent.

In one sense, the thousands of DVDs that Saeed mailed around the world (at his own expense) of his hunts with PVT could be interpreted as a stand-alone public endorsement. Or some folks might interpret them to be factual reporting of past events for which any advertising or endorsement effect is merely incidental.

Thanks, Grains. But, I've said all I've got to say on this topic.
Happy New Year, BTW.

Frank,

It does not matter whether you and everyone else boycotts my postings.

But a simple stand alone thread with Saeed endorsing both Atkinson and PVT would surely enhance the reputation of both men in matters relating to the organising of African safaris.

Happy New Year and have a nice evening Smiler

Based on the preposterous bull shit that Saeed is "repeating" from PVT on the SH thread, I can only assume he owns part or all of his operation so what would his endorsement mean? Friendship is one thing, losing your rational abilities is something else. Since I believe Saeed to be of sound mind, I can only conclude that he has a financial motive in speaking for PVT.

I don't believe you. I don't think there are three other posters here as dumb as you. thumb

Besides, Don has limited Carmello to only one alternate identity and that is Michell Prattlewood.

Gatogordo,

I have absolutely no financial interest in anything Ray or Pierre are involved in.

Some of us will stand up for our friends, regardless of not having any financial involvement with them!

And apparently regardless of what behavior they engage in. Roll Eyes

So let's for a moment assume that PVT is telling the truth (no matter how skeptical I may be). According to PVT he did not promise Dietmar a hunt in Kigosi.

But PVT also did not get Dietmar's permission for the concession change. When $30K+ is riding on the hunt, that is not exactly proper courtesy to show toward a client. Further, PVT stated the reason for the change was better hunting in Masailand than Kigosi. But that turned out to be false, and it was known to several AR members to be false even before the hunt. And PVT did not send advance scouts into the concession as he says is his practice. If he had, then it would have been clear to PVT that the Masailand concession was near empty and that the "change" of concession was a mistake.

So even if we assume PVT is telling the truth, he is a very poor business manager and an inept PH.

However, I do not think that is the case. I think he is an excellent business manager and maximizes revenue for his business. Thus it appears that he intended to collect the funds for Dietmar's hunt no matter what, even if the concession that he and Dietmar agreed on was not available, and even if it meant that Dietmar would have a crappy hunt. That is my take on it, but others may draw different conclusions.

I don't know about his motives other than his friendship, but I don't think it is financial!
Saeed could buy every buffalo in Tansania, and every safari company, and still have a better income, and bank account than anyone on this forum. I don't think he is driven by money!

I believe he is simply a friend, that has his own opinion of who is at fault here, and is not afraid to state that fact, nothing more!

What makes what he says BS? The fact that he doesn't agree with you, or is it that he has the facts not known to you? His opinion may be guided by those facts, while the rest of us are impressed with our own opinions, and can't stand to be disagreed with? Addtionally, what makes what he says BS, while what you say is fact? OPINIONS, and ASSHOLES..........Everybody has one!

I'm not sideing either way, because the "FACTS" given on this forum, are not evidence, but opinion, nothing more!

If you want to know what is bull shit, it is this whole string of poison being dispenced, no matter which way it is pointed, without knowing what your trying to kill!

This string is, BIG WIND COME FROM EMPTY CAVE!

Why would you say such a thing? Confused

You know, Grains, it may surprise you to find out that a real friend doesn't bail out on a pal because some third party accuses the friend of some "perceived" indescretion, act of poor judgement, rumor, or whatever description you'd like to use. Real friends stick together through thick and thin. They get through tough times together. You must be some kind of real pal (please read with appropriate sarcasm).
I'll give you credit, though. You are a tenacious SOB. Like a rich man clutching his gold on a sinking ship, you've made up your mind and that's that.

I know this is taking it to an extreme to illustrate a point..............

But if your best friend turned out to be one of the people behind September 11, would you maintain your friendship. Would you defend him?

Saeed still can't endorse Atkinson/PvT on this thread.

Saeed has deserted them.

If Saeed is their true friend and has no reservations about Atkinson/PvT he will start his own thread that endorses them.

Bur it won't happen.

My question is, since grains is such a crusader for honesty, justice and the American way, did he turn his "friends" in for commiting fraud? After all, wouldn't that be what such a crusader would do? Maybe grains is a democrat?
