My good friend JudgeG is a bit under the weather with kidney stone problems. I returned from Alaska yesterday to find out that he had been hospitalized earlier in the week. He had the stones zapped, blasted, or whatever they do, but is still in a lot of pain today. He is at home and I know he is checking this forum on a regular basis. Some well wishes might help him return to his usual obnoxious self.

sorry to hear about your problem.
The good thing is that it's not fatal.
It only feels that way.

ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Judge,
Look on the bright side. If large enough you can load them in your 45-70. Smiler
Sounds bad if your off the scotch, you may want to change your drinking formula Razzer.
Take care and hope you get better rather quickly. It is fortunate this didn't happen in the middle of your last hunt.

Actually, I have a very nice, leggy (5'9") blonde coming up from Jacksonville tomorrow to check on me.

1115, if you beg, maybe I'll bring her down to Hopewell to see you and the Mrs.. that is, if I ever quit passing bloody (literally and figuratively) "chips". In any event, I'll see you at Mass-lite first thing in the morning.

Thanks folks for giving me the kind words. As those of you who had them, it ain't fun!

Judge,
I wish you the best as you get over this hurdle...As they say, all things shall pass... Smiler At least it's not your busy time of year in the woods.
BTW, the great friendships you and I forged last fall with the guys at the Marine Base remains a good thing. The Colonel out there and I still get together occasionally, though he's being deployed to Iraq in August where he'll be in charge of bringing all the materiel for the Marines into Iraq. He also recently got one of his small arms specialist to help me upgrade a gun I've had a while into one we should have fun blasting with next time you're over this way.
Good luck and all the best to you.

JudgeG, The first time I passed a Kidney stone I was on the fourth day of my first Saskatchewan whitetail hunt. It was 2 AM and the little cabin we were in was barely above freezing, it was -35 F outdoors. Being that I had to pee and was semi-comatose as well: I wasn't going to go past the stoop. So I pointed in a safe direction and OH MY GOD! Now I know where Roy Weatherby got his inspiration... Didn't think much of it at the time, was more interested in relative warmth and the sleeping bag. Felt really poorly the next day, and then OK something about taking your biggest ever deer which will cheer you up. Then the earth moved... I thought I was going to die, but you know that feeling. Well, I been drinking one hell of a lot more water and practically no Diet Soda since... 18 years now. Hope you chuckled. Yes it was true, So Help Me God.

pissers

cheers
