Dear Guy's

My wife wants to hunt a croc greater than 14ft.
She has been on 2 aferican safaris and many other trips. With out really wanting to shoot any thing.

She has taken deer, and aferican game.

1. She wants to shoot a croc.
2. Has not shot a lot of large rifles, 300WM max

Dose not know the difference between any rifle or scope.

So I take her to the local gun shop. Get her to try about 10 different rifles and 20 different scopes.
As she has trouble lining her eye up and the scope.

So she picks out the following.

Blasser R8
Schmidt @ bender 1.1-6x42

Just what a working class Aussie needs.

Just goes to show you can not taking a woman shopping any where.

They will just zone in on the most expensive items. Even if they have no clue what is what or what the price is.

I made direct instuction to the sales person to not tell her the cost of any thing.

I feel the pain setting in already.

Regards Mark

You may tell your wife that I think she has very good taste.

At least she doesn't want to shoot an elephant or a lion(yet).
Those trophy/taxidermy fees may really add up.

When she shoots a 16.5 with a borrowed 30/06 without scope, you will be a little "down in the dumps"!! Big Grin

Simple answer - when she asks you what you want for your Birthday say that you really need a double rifle and can she buy one for you - after all you did buy her an R8.

Look on the plus side - you will have to go on lots more hunting adventures together
