This is what was on the top of my Facebook page...

"Your page has been unpublished
Your Page is currently not visible on Facebook. It looks like content posted on your Page doesn't follow the Facebook Terms, so it was unpublished.
While we encourage everyone on Facebook to challenge ideas, institutions, events and practices, we do not permit anyone to attack others based on characteristics such as their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or medical condition.
We keep these Terms in place to help ensure that Facebook remains a welcoming, respectful environment. If you think your Page was unpublished in error, you can appeal. Please keep in mind that if your appeal is denied, your Page will be deleted permanently."

I am the one who gets attacked by anti hunters regularly. I have no clue the recourse, as there was a button to appeal, but no chance to write anything for an appeal. What a load of crap...

I am positive this is the work of the anti's

Bloody typical of what is so called "social media"

Trolls get away with practically murder on these sites, and anything that deals in reality is not acceptable.

Joyce's wallpaper or what ever it is called on her FB page has her holding up the head of the Reedbuck she shot. No rifle or blood visible. Never heard a peep.

Joyce recently put this on her page.

She helped a friend kill, skin, and quarter this "cow" and we are splitting it.

Not a peep yet.

FB is a very inconsistent media. I suspect Tim, that you have trouble because your page is business oriented and your business leads to animals dying. The anti's don't get it, never will, and get obscene in their postings. Then someone complains your page is full of obscenities and gets pulled down.

Just a thought.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

My extended family has been trying to get me to post on face book for years. I simply do not like the so-called social media, but the main draw-back is my family does post on it, and I'm sure post thing about me that I consider private.

On June 7th of this year I attended my first wife's funeral and My daughter who live about 300 miles away and who posts FB had her house burglarized while she was at the funeral. She posted that she would be away from home for a week. They not only stole everything she owned, but destroyed her house as well.

I have been told by others that they saw pictures of my home and trophy room on FB (a public website)leaving me vulnerable as well.

I think people put far too much private information on those sights!

Sorry to see this happen Tim. I have no personal or professional experience with this, but perhaps this page can be of some help:

https://www.facebook.com/help/185747581553788

It does lead to a link to submit an appeal. Just be careful, as I saw where if an appeal is denied, your page is permanently deleted.

Thanks Bill and everyone else. If they delete my page after the appeal, I hope SCI will help. It is for sure because of trophy pix as someone saw on another page where Facebook had messaged an anti hunting group to tell them their complaint was addressed and my page had been shut down. I just hate letting antis win...

Go ahead and appeal.

One of my friends got banned since someone complained her maternity pictures were pornographic. It was ridiculous. Just pictures of a swollen pregnant belly.

She appealed and is back on.

Facebook often knee jerk reacts to complaints but should allow you back on after they investigate. If you don't appeal though you're done.

Pictures of a Pregnant woman are one thing in this world.

Pictures of dead animals, no matter how tasteful are entirely different.

I support yours or anyone else's ability to post pictures of your trophies, But That Does Not Matter, and every hunter on this planet can boycott Face Book all the hell they want to and It Is NOT going to matter, We ARE OUTNUMBERED!!!!!

I agree with you Mac; I am not on FB for that and many other reasons. Just own the shares, for which I paid $30/each.

You are much better off creating your web page and using SEO/PPC. Other than that, I sure don't want my stuff out there.

I'm on Facebook and post hunt photos whenever I can just to stir up the anti's Wink. One of my old neighbours is an anti and I used to give her hell until my wife "unfriended" her for me. The wife couldn't put up with me going off at her Big Grin.

Look at it this way.

The current owner of FB is nothing but a thief.

He stole the idea from someone else - I think he eventually had to pay him some money.

Next you know he is invited to the White House for tea!

And they say crime does not pay!!??

I refuse to use social media.

It is PC run amok!

And this sort of thing is allowed to continue!

One of my associates recently asked me about my Facebook page. I don't have one. They were incredulous -- everyone has a Facebook page. They were even more amazed to learn that I had never accessed Facebook and really wouldn't know how to do it.

If I offend someone, my apologies, but I really don't give a crap. I wouldn't put it on the web though.

I've been practicing law for nearly 30 years. My office is full of African mounts. The managing partner paid a special visit to inform me that my office was "full" some time ago. Since then, I've added a cape buffalo pedestal, one cape buff skull mount, and two other shoulder mounts. (Just found out my next shipment is inbound from Tanzania). I think I still have a little room.

Tell people to stick it. If you don't like me, I get it. I'm not very likeable AND I don't care.

DSC:

You can't worry about what others aay about you. Be true to your values and ethics.

I've got a case now where the opposing lawyer is obstructing discovery and slandering my client, and me, in pleadings. His pleadings are privileged, but I've filed a counterclaim that I think will result in his client's ultimate liability.

Now he can't disengage and he's got a problem. Did I make friends? Not hardly. Do I care? Not hardly. I won't stoop to his level.

Good luck with your practice. My only piece of advice, unsolicited as it is, is be true to your own values and always, always be the most reasonable and ethical lawyer in front of the court. That reputation will carry forward.

Tim a guy on our sa forum had the same problem he does jackal culling. Bool Smuts of the landmark foundation posted on the landmark facebook page the guys work address and nr and requested his followers to put pressure on him by phoning his boss. Landmark uses a lot of photos of hunters with their kills to stir up emotions and attacks these hunters in person.

a few guys on that forum started to report it to facebook with minimal success that is why I very seldom use my facebook and there is sometimes to much risk involved for example if someone visits you and he marks it on his facebook page it shows that Peter visited Paul and it also shows where he visited him and I don't like that at all.

yes I agree the anti definitely has a finger in the pie and they will attack us more and more

Signed up on FB because my friends said one had to keep up with the times; that it was the site to be on and I did, creating albums to no end and spending a lot of time doing so.

It took two assholes to make me change my mind and with a click of a button or two ended all the bullshit.

Don't have much time for Linkedin either - just another information-gathering site to serve someone's obscure purposes (IMO).
