Just put the voting platform up on our website along with some supplemental material. Our web subscriber notification letter, and Facebook pages potentially reach about 10k people. This will swing into action this afternoon and hopefully keep some momentum going.

We hunters need more representation on social media. This is where the battles can be won.

It occurs to me we should start doing "push notifications" to our constituency on these type of issues. As should our organizations such as SCI,DSC,NRA (I sure get the "give me more money" notifications and the pitches from Sponsors)
From yesterday till today we went from around 25/75 to now 53/47
The Antis are typically better organized utilizing social media and other communication tools.
Obviously thanks to Larry and his personal efforts here we have spoken up with a much larger voice (Thank you Larry)

Thank you.

I have sent this to The NRA and SCI. Unfortunately, my SCI contact is out of town.

I sent this to some others who have put this on their Facebook pages. I did this as well.

I would recommend the following:

1- Forward this to all of your hunting friends with a brief personal note asking them to vote yet.

2- Place this on any Facebook pages.

Thanks everyone.

This points out a glaring issue with AR. The only way to communicate matters such as this is if the members read this particular thread.

Surely there is someway that Saeed could make a mass e mailing on things like this .

The reality is that AR alone should blow them out of the water.

Agree Larry,
That was my exact point about doing the push notifications. It would really help us show strength in numbers on issues important to us all
The technology is obviously in place and we have the numbers

Another comment I posted:

For all of you anti-hunters out there, should you watch the debate, perhaps Mr. Pacelle of the Humane Society of the United States can enlighten you all on:

1- The investigation by various statesinto the fraudulent fund raising activities of the HSUS.
2- Why only about 1% of the HSUS budget goes to actually operate animal shelters?
3- The number of dogs and cats killed by the HSUS. Trust me it is a large number.
4- Why the HSUS put over $50 million into off shore accounts.
5- The massive percentage of the HSUS budget that goes for salaries and pensions.
6- Why charity rating agencies have given the HSUS bad ratings.

These should be a good start.

I just posted this in the comment section.

While each country in Africa faces its own problems with conserving species it is a fact that hunters dollars pay for conservation. I went to Zambia right after the lion story became viral. I hunted buffalo and plains game in an area near the Kafue River. Six years ago this area had no game. It was all poached for bush meat. Since then the local community has worked with an experienced operator ( Andrew Baldry) to provide anti-poaching for the area. After several years of anti-poaching animals were back in the area in sufficient numbers to hunt. Since then, the wildlife in the area has thrived and the local community has benefited, all paid by hunters dollars. One morning we were on buffalo tracks and had to wait for a herd of sable to pass on our right. Immediately in front of us was a small herd of hartebeest and before we could move over 20 eland passed 100 yards in front of us. I lamented the thought that the "do-gooders" who have never been to Africa, have not contributed one dollar to the preservation of any species, and have no idea about conservation in Africa would have their way the wonderful sight in front of me would be gone forever.
