Guard turned into baboon’
The Manica Post February 8, 2008
From Mwakazvida Chaonwa in Chipinge
A SECURITY guard employed by Tanganda Tea's New Year Gift's Estate in Chipinge is alleged to have recently turned into a baboon.
The guard (name supplied), was reported to have been on night duty with a colleague when he allegedly turned into a baboon and assaulted him.
A villager at the estate, Austin Sithole, confirmed the incident and said: "I also heard of the news, but unfortunately, the guard in question is my son-in-law. He is now a human being again and when we asked him what transpired on the night in question, he is professing ignorance," said Sithole.
Another villager, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the guard was now an outcast at the estate, as people no longer want to be associated with him.
Some employees at the estate said the guard had since been suspended from work as no-one was willing to work with him, since they guard in pairs.
In a telephone interview, officials at the estate confirmed the incident.
"Yes, this incident happened here and the guard in question has since been suspended. He was asked to go home and appease the spirit in him. If he is well, we might engage him," said an official who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Chipinge is well-known for juju and many people in and outside the counry travel to the district in search of charms for various reasons.

Safari-HuntAnother funny interesting story.
The one guy was jealous because is suppose to be grilfriend was hangingout with another black guy. Now everytime they get paid the first weekend is usually spent drinking out all their money in sorghum beer.
No the jealous guy went and put insecticide in a 5 liter sorghum beer bottle and instead of killing his girlfriend and the guy she was hanging out the intented targets he killed 8 innocent beer drinkers.
This happened on a small holding not far from our small holding in Ellisras a couple of years back.

I think what they should do is watch 'The Hour of Power' with the all those very rational evangelicals....then they buy the 'Green Cloth' (each one carries the power of God of you know) buy simply calling the 1-800. If they then rub not only their credit cards but also a baboon, it will turn back into a human!!!
If they are lucky they might even see those litte Cherubic kids with feathered wings that grow out of their back with light that shoots out from their heads!!!
It's very 'rational'.

Baboon or pig alcohol or no alcohol
what is the difference between an attorney and a pig .
the pig doesn't turn into a attorney after a few beers

Rationalize - Please - I am sure it would have been easier to rationalize with the baboon the poor soul turned into - a shame he had to become human again

MikelravyI've heard a similar story twice although it was a hyena both times. Local Zim folk tale I guess.

I know exactly what you mean.
I often have to work with people who believe that there is an invisible man who lives in the sky who can either offer someone eternal life after death in paradise, or banish them to unending torment and suffering deep underground in an imaginary place called "Hell".
It takes all sorts!!

TrophymanThis type of thing has been going on for many years.
36 years ago, I married a little hottie that was loving and understanding and oversexed.
Today, I am married to a menopausal, one-way, Frigidaire that doesn't know I exist except when she wants something.
Why, just the other day, we were going to a masquerade party. She said she needed to buy a new costume. I thoughtfully said she should go naked and be a road map. Blue veins could be the freeways, red veins- side streets, there are the grand tetons, Grand Canyon, Continental Divide, Carlsbad Caverns, ...... and she thought I was out of line !!!!!
I think after 36 years-- it's my turn to sit on the edge of the bed and say "No, no--- it's too big!!!"
Women. Can't live with 'em and you can't shoot 'em.

If something good happens it is god's will, if something bad happens god works in mysterious ways.
By that logic the my knife keeps bears away, since I have never seen a bear since I got the knife it must work. Not that I have lived where there are bears in 7 years.
