Well two years and two weeks since I took my leopard with Brent Leesmay and Chifuti Safaris in the Chewore North concession and I finally have the bad boy back home! He is even more stunning than I remember both in color and size. Mike Baird and B&B Taxidermy did my work and I couldn't be more pleased! Also picked up my Benin safari so a new double rifle will have to wait... ouch!!! But with nothing at the taxidermist I guess I need to head out to the bush soon... like the 30th of June!

I like the relaxed pose. IMHO, too many mounts of the big cats feature a snarling, humped up animal.

Yours is quite natural. I also like the natural looking rocks with the branch and leaves. How high off the floor is the top of his head?

Congrats!

Hey Rus
Very nice job on your cat! It sure is nice to get'em home isn't it. Hope all is well with you, give us a call to catch up sometime. The Chifuti season is going great, 100% on lion and 6 of 7 on leopard so far. Talk to you soon, and once again great job on your cat!

Thanks everyone!

Mike... the cat and base are on a pedestal that has the cat at eye level around six and a half feet off the ground...

Steve, off to the East Cape the end of this month to hunt PG with my son... should be a blast!

Dave... look forward to catching up with you soon. When do you leave?
