Ed, At this moment...I believe it to be at the same Pappasito's that it was at last year. Sometimes...things change with out me hearing about it...so was just checking. If I am wrong let me know so that I show up in the right place...please. Otherwise...I'll drink a margarita with you Friday night at Pappasito's! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ J. For the moment the season has been extended to 31st March. In 2013 when the new regulations take effect the season will automatically adjust so that all licensing will be in accordance with the Department's financial accounting year: Jan - December. The hunting will however take a break between 31st March and 1st July.

That is a good question too! I think it started at 7pm last year but maybe Ed will confirm or correct me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ J. All this from 7 or so people meeting in a motel room ten years ago. Now, a dinner for 120 in a private dining room on Friday and a nice cocktail party on Saturday. A great way to get to met Safariphiles, P.H.'s, booking agents.... and not to mention some pretty good looking spouses, girl friends and dang nice families. Thanks Ed, Joyce, Frank and Saeed! It is most important to know that Dallas Safari Club has again been a great supporter of Accurate Reloadings gatherings, donating to us enough to pay the majority of 120 folks' supper (and a grand one at that) and to help with the expenses of tonight's cocktail party (though, since we now have so many attendees, the hat will be passed to make sure Ed isn't out-of-pocket for his buying booze and snacks). We did raise $357 last night for the Dallas Environmental Foundation, an organization that provides "for credit" curriculum for middle schoolers in 104 schools (all the way up to Maine!). The course teaches that hunting is a great path to conserve our renewable resources and to protect those that are not. As the newest life member of DSC, I thank you for the kind giving last night to help kids know of their hunting heritage and that "we" are really the good guys in conservation. A Great Night!... and, yes, that was me there without my mustache... alas! And finally, HOW ABOUT THOSE SHRIMP? WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.
