Just spent a couple of hours in my sons 5th grade class giving a slide show of Africa. Tiptoed around the shooting animals bit, but they did get to hold a giraffe skull, impalla skull and sit on several hides. The kids really seemed to like it.

Here they are taking turns holding the giraffe...

questions and answers

funniest comment came from the kid thanking me for dressing up in costume for them... what costume?????

You did an excellent thing in bringing a small piece of Africa to these young children.
That cute teacher seems to like you too!

Jesus, get a haircut!

Seriously, though good job! We always need honesty with children and safaris.

I suggest you paint yourself black and put on a Masai costume. That would make it look real!

Any time you take the time to share with kids is a great thing. You are to be commended, Sir!

I admire anybody with the courage and ability to get in front of a group of young children and impress on them the cultures outside of our little world of "free press" and Disneyland.

To do it with African hunting is a great bonus.

Congratulations are definitely in order.

Well done Sir! I'm sure those kids will be talking about that for a long time. Who knows, you may have lit a fire in one of them to experience Africa the way it should be experienced.

Very well done! Expand those kids horizons well beyond anything they'll get from the usual curricula.
