Does anyone know if there are regulations regarding bringing Hunting Knives, specifically those with double sided blades--"daggers"--into any of the countries of Southern and Eastern Africa? Steve, On a couple of occassions I've taken as many as 20 different knives of varying configurations in my luggage. I declared them each time but nobody seemed to care one way or the other. What about those knives that have " assisted opening" features? Seems like I saw some restriction in RSA on that a while ago? Les

In Zim, technically any locking blade with a sharp point is illegal (like my leatherman, by blade tech my ....) only knives with a locking blade that are legal are the curved ones for cutting seat belts like the spiderco. NB - nobody takes the slightest bit of notice of the regulations!!! I arranged for leatherman super tools to be issued to my whole section in parks (thank you Tim!!). Blades over 6" need to be 'justified' if you are carrying them in public
