Mike,
I'm looking forward to stopping by the booth and meeting you and Pierre. Anyway, I appreciate your input early in 2010 when I was seeking advice for my 1st trip to Africa. See you in Dallas!

Live From the DSC Show ....

Move-in has gone smoothly this year, and the show opened this morning. Seems to be a good crowd, too.

AR members who are here (I've already seen some of them) can check in at the Conceirge booth to leave messages for each other. Also, our hospitality room is Ballroom C-4, down the hall to the left of the show entrance (outside the hall). There's a placard welcoming the AR folks. It's just a room with tables and chairs, so if you want to bring anything to drink, etc. have at it. I'll ask Mike if he wants to schedule a certain time for an informal meet-and-greet just post it on here.

Stop by the Concierge booth and say 'hi' to me (Dennis)!

Dropped in a few hours this morning to work out some details on my 2011 hunt, DSC Convention sure is growing - much bigger this year. Went by C4 AR room a couple of times - room was empty, some people in the NRA room C3 next door. Plan to be at the get together tomorrow night, and Saturday at the Comfort. Looks like it's going to be a great convention. Checked out Outdoor Visions and Safari Press for the books I want to buy.

I took some pics today. I will try to get them posted by tomorrow night. Trying to catch up on some business now.

Great show so far. Lots of vendors, and while not a super big crowd, a good number of people. At the dinner tonight, they said attendance was up from last year.

See you guys around,

John

I won't be able to stay long. Will somebody be there that I can leave a bottle for the AR guys? My son said it was a good single malt. Balvenie 17yr. Rum cask. I've just never acquired a taste for it.

What a great evening!! Had a lot of fun, met a bunch of very interesting and friendly folk and ate a whole lot of good food. I want to thank all those involved in putting together this fun event.
A BIG THANKS also to DSC for picking up the tab for the food.
