They are very knowledable on Double Rifles and are extremely willing to share. Not like the prima donnas on this Double Rifle Forum who tell guys to go away and not come back until they know more. How arrogant is that?

The only places I visit on any website is African hunting, Alaska hunting, Double rifle, and big bore forums. This is the only place I post as MacD37, on all others I post as DUGABOY1!

In comment to the thing above about, "prima donnas", I've been on this forum since about
June of 2000, and I can say I have never heard anyone tell a person to leave , and not return till they knew more! I have heard TROLLS, who post things that are simply not true, and some that are unsafe if not corrected, being told to leave. In fact some of them post on NE, but they are a little more researved there. They were down right trouble makers here, and even got into calling our host names, and so were banned!

I cannot stand a website where your posts are removed simply because you have a disagreement, that doesn't get into name calling, but remains a debate! Thought police are the bane of modern society, IMO!

Places like 24 Hour Campfire,I made about the fifth post there, and was outrightly called a liar, on the first day, by some punk that couldn't have been over 20 yrs old. I haven't been back! It is OK to disagree with anyone there as long as you don't say so, especially if that person happens to be one of the three or four PRIMA DONNASthat live there!

The best thing about AR is there is no politicaly correct BS, which is nothing more than liberal sanctioned sensorship!

You are correct that there is a lot of double rifle knowledge on the NE website, and OZ is a little like Texas, people say it like it is, and let the chips fall where they may. If you can't stand the hot kitchen, and so on!.........

That's a good point.

This is just the tip for this guy. He seems to be knowledgeable to my uneducated mind but why would anyone who only has a question want to get involved with someone as obnoxious, rude and condescending?

You are on that post so you know what he is saying.

We do have 2 leopards in Zim with Jonathan Hulme's Zambezi Hunters on the dates I sent you which are very good. The nyala is a maybe but waterbuck and 1 sable are available.

Price:

1x1 $1150 per day (14 days required)
2% Zim tax
MARS $10 per day
CITES $100
Road transfer from Harare/Save/Harare $400 RT per vehicle

Trophy fees:

Leopard $3500
Sable $3500
waterbuck $1750
Nyala $2900

Camp is luxury tented on 200,000 acres. You will have the camp and area for your exclusive use during the hunt.

You will find a cheaper hunt but you may not find a better one. Leopard success is 90% plus and plains game hunting is excellent.

Give me your regular e-mail and I'll send you the full brochure.

Mark,

You still need to apologize to Bryan. The sneering comment about "his God" is just about too far. I am not overly religous, but with Bryan's chosen work, your slander is well...awful.

Can't say I 'know' Bryan or Mark but both have responded via PM's to posts that I have made in the past to offer assistance or suggestions. I value and have used their advice every time.

Normally I agree with what you say Saeed and since this site is hosted by you I hesitate to go against your desires. However when Mark critisized Bryan's God , I am fairly certain he was referring to my God also. Now this makes it "personal" to me also. I think that others here feel the same way and that is why this has been so slow to die.

I do not understand the reasoning behind this.

Saeed, That is fine, but it did not stay private. I would take the same postion if your God were a point of offense as well.

I, for one, do not consider correcting false information to be combative, especially where safety is concerned.

Mac,

I believe those discussions which you are labelling as "combative" were actually discussions on technical fact.

In fact I believe one of the "hottest" debates was over which solder is the best or suitable
for double rifle barrel sets. I do remember two NE members did get their
knickers into knots over that 'explosive' issue hammering ie solder. Wink

Exactly.

I don't remember any "abusive" discussions at all in the relevance of your comments above. Which is usually what is defined as "combative".

Just commenting on the claim made above. I don't want to comment on the abusive PM argument going on here.

Personally I thought it was quite good to have some critical analysis applied to the advertisement in the first post of this thread. It showed up some good deals. Competition and open analysis is the driver behind the consumer getting the best deals. thumb

You are correct, John, and I don't consider even this place to be combative either, but like NE the opinions get strong backing at times no matter where you post. I personally don't consider any particular website to be unduely combative. However all websites have members who love nothing better than to start trouble for no real reason, and make dumb statements to get it going, or single out one person, ususlly a person that is well respected on that particualr website!

By the way wich solder di they finally decide on? Big Grin
