Our national daily newspaper yesterday featured a full page advertisement promoting and begging for donations to worldanimalprotection.org.nz/lions A quick search reveals this to be an international group The page features a black and white pic of a hunter and perhaps his P.H. and a couple of ladies posing behind a male Lion trophy. I very much doubt the hunter has approved the use of this image for publication by an ostensibly anti hunting org. In order to take this crowd to task we need to identify the hunter and/or the others in the pic. I’m too I.T. Challenged to get this image up so if anyone can assist then please contact me. Organisations like this should not get away with flagrant flouting of the law to further their perspective.

Hi, Ridgeman. Long time since I saw you. Do you still hunt with Andrew? Best, Tom ...I say that hunters go into Paradise when they die, and live in this world more joyfully than any other men. -Edward, duke of York ". . . when a man has shot an elephant his life is full." ~John Alfred Jordan "The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." Cicero - 55 BC "The smallest minority on earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of minorities." - Ayn Rand Cogito ergo venor- KPete “It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own self-interest. We address ourselves, not to their humanity but to their self-love, and never talk to them of our own necessities but of their advantages.” ― Adam Smith - “Wealth of Nations”

Hi Ridgeman, I was able to locate the picture you are referencing on their web site. They are reference farming lions for hunting and bone trade in South Africa. >>>>>>>>>>>>>> "You've got the strongest hand in the world. That's right. Your hand. The hand that marks the ballot. Thanks for the update. The caption that accompanies the picture here in NZ just reads “Does the life of a Lion mean nothing at all ?” I’ve mailed them asking for their position on sustainable use and legal hunting but have yet to receive a reply. Many of us may find canned hunts abhorrent however unauthorized use of photos that could potentially lead to victimization is dangerous territory.
