Yep, would love to burst that bubble.....Would wait myself a bit longer and see what comes out of the forum......VERY good picture though...What is the saying, get as close as you can, and if you are there, get 10 more paces closer....something like that..... Had I been there with a rifle, the "3rd party" wouldn't have a chance to strike. That buff on the right would be mine.... reminds me of a picture my wife took whilst in a park. We were crossing a bridge over a river and there were 2 dozen vultures sunning their wings. My wife took a picture of them looking upstream. Once we developed the picture we noticed .....in the background walking towards us.... a lioness in full view "...Them, they were Giants!" J.A. Since Bwanamich gave it away. What would have been the chances to have had all the needed licenses for all three on the spot. Would have been a blast. Frederik Cocquyt I always try to use enough gun but then sometimes a brainshot works just as good.

I guess I'm blind, what exactly are we looking at here? Is it what appears to be a snake on the brach above the buff? DC300

Again, I must be blind. I don't see it. DC300

cjw, did you see the impending surprise before you took the Pict? Great Pict BTW. It would make a great poster http://www.art.com/asp/place_order-asp/_/posters.htm?CR...K=Y&FrameID=53709225 Steve "He wins the most, who honour saves. Success is not the test." If this picture had been properly focused I'd bet the farm that is not a leopard. I'm also curious as to opinions about exactly where is the body of the buff on the right? This is the part that looks as if it were photoshopped to me. Kind of hard to hide an entire buffalo behind another. But then again, maybe it's just me. DC300

I got the photo during a search of various art galleries that specialize in wildlife prints. I don't know why but for some reason I can't sent the photo any larger than it is but I can clearly see it's a lioness. The body of the buffalo on the left is pointing almost directly to the right of the photo with his head turned slightly toward the camera. The body of the one on the right (whose horns I really like) is facing almost directly into the photo with his head turned slightly to the left. DB Bill aka Bill George

Here is the original Steve, we sat and watched a pride of 4 or 5 females and 2 males for about half an hour and the buff were just sitting under a tree nearby. The lionesses then began the hunt. They divided up and went in 4 different directions and had the buff covered no matter which way they ran. The males stayed where we were. It was fascinating to watch this. I guess the buffs were spooked before the lions were ready because they got up and ran off. The lions gave a half-hearted chase and it was over. DC300, the photo is properly focused. It has been downsized for the web and then the portion posted above has been enlarged so it's very pixelated. I assure you that what you see in the picture is exactly what it looked like in real life. It's not a leopard, it's a lion. And I guess I should feel flattered that you don't believe it's real? It IS a great picture. I have always taken issue with Teddy Roosevelt's ideas on game color having nothing to do with camo purposes. The lion blends right in. SCI Life Member DSC Life Member

Lion? Yeah I see a lion but I thought the surprise was Big Foot walking away behind the tree. An old man sleeps with his conscience, a young man sleeps with his dreams.
