The stock pictures do not do this rifle justice... .308, uses FN Mags, ejects out of a tube forward of the grip. 18" barrel, 26" oal,
even a reasonable trigger.

The bull pup rifle is a good concept. I used an AUG quite a bit, and I liked it.

That rifle being a 308, with the foward ejection, makes it truely ambidexterious.

I had a Bushmaster Bullpup which I recently sold. Although a .223 it was a heavy gun. I certainly like the bullpup concept as I am always amused at seeing US troops with the butt of their AR 15 over the top of their shoulder when entering buildings etc. in Iraq and Afganistan. Perfect example to my mind of the utility of the bullpup concept. The trigger on the Bushmaster was not very good however. Not sure that I see the point of such a short barrelled weapon in 308 caliber though. For civilian purposes I really like the Carbon 15 type firearms that Bushmaster sells (I have one). Very light, handy and accurate enough with a red dot for up to 100 yards.

It's heavy: 10 lb 2.5 oz empty with optic
11 lb 8 oz loaded with 20 rnd mag
It's VERY small
It's a well designed
Single point sling works very well, the rifle hangs nicely
It needs a tool (cartridge) to take down
Cannot check empty chamber with a mag installed
The ass end looks "busy"
Low, center-line recoil
Mag release is thumb operated but nearly requires two hands to operate.
Bolt release is at the butt end of gun and is cumbersome to operate
Bolt release, mag release, and safety are ambidextrous, Charging handle takes about 25 seconds to switch (must use a cartridge)
Uses FAL Mags
GREAT manual
Goes bang when trigger is pulled
With 44 gns of Varget and a 150gn FMJ, not as much muzzle flash as I'd have expected (it's the fourth of July, who's gonna complain?)

No problems with 30 rounds through it... I had to make more 7.62 last night so maybe some 100Yd groups tomorrow. the optic is a 1-3x Loopy CQ/T. I'd think the gun is better than both optic and operator.

The fact that it is a 308 the weight may not be a bad thing.

The Leupold CQT is a great combat sight for close to medium range. I used one on a work gun for several years. I really liked it.

Keep us posted on its accuracy and performance.

Added weight: 11 lb 8 oz, loaded, with optic.
The recoils is very minimal. I'll be playing with the gas adjustment to see if it can be reduced more and what effect it has on velocity (if any)

A bullpup that can be shot lefty! Sweet!

I know some like to minimize the ambidextrous issue, but it really is a show stopper.

Being a lefty I could not agree more. Some of the others convert, but in my book ALL tactical rifles must be ABLE to be shot left handed, for tactical reasons if nothing else.

Well, come on Collins, get some more 308 loaded and get out there and give us a range report!

50 yards, 18 round group, using a front rest only (can I use that as an excuse for the vertical fliers?)
The optic (Leupold CQ/T) was on 3x, the center dot just covering the x ring.

Coolest thing? All the brass was laying in a circle a foot from the muzzle, still on the bench

Now shoot it at 100 and 200 yards.

I'm on the road for the next week A week from Saturday I'll take it out again. I'm also going to see If I can open the gas block, and get sub-sonics to Cycle. (Trailboss and 180gn lead RN) will report on those too...

How many dollars do they cost ?????????????????

List is in the $1300 range. They sell on Gunbroker from $2500 to $3500, I got mine at the lower end of that range. Serial numbers are still under 100

I borrowed one from a buddy, and I will shoot it in a few days.

So far I like the way it handles.

Keep the info flowing I have been interested in this gun for some time. I to want to know what it will do at 100,200&300.
