SGraves155Argentina malarial prophylaxis
I will be hunting/fishing with Juan Pozzi and Alberto Foerster in July. Question for Juan or Alberto or any previous hunters to that area (B.A., Santa Fe, Cordoba, Parana River)--is malaria prophylaxis needed? I see the CDC recommends chloroquine weekly for Northern Argentina bordering Uruaguay or Paraguay.

Steve, don´t worry, this must be one of the most crazy things I have read in the internet...Malaria in Uruguay...???

Northern Argentina bordering Paraguay maybe but is not even near my country.
Tell the CDC to study their reports a little better.

SGraves155I must have miss-read the page-- it now says "northern Argentina bordering Bolivia and Paraguay". Thanks for the info.

billinthewildMy recommendation would be large quantities of their wonderful beer, Boch or Stout, served with good Argentine cheese and crusty bread, followed with some immediacy by a good bottle of Malbec and a large portion of beef and sausage. It worked for me. And with those two gentlemen you will be well provided for.

I wish you the best of times.
