I just sold my Benz E-500 with 330 horse. My roadrunner would eat it for lunch any day of the week. In a straight line quarter mile. Exactly what the car was designed for.

Cheers

You know it's a darn shame that we got all this pollution control stuff on newer cars these days.
I would love to take a late model Benz and drop a forged 302 based stroker in it and drive it on the street. One with a carburetor.

Go to engineswapdepot.com. Lots of neat and weird swaps.

Interesting RX2 Mazda with a turbo 4 rotor that is in the 6s and over 200MPH in the quarter. It is on the second or 3rd page.

Mine wasn't stock. Wink

But the one tested by Ronnie Sox and Roland McGonegal was. We all know what kind of driver Ronnie Sox was and he rung low 13's out of the A12, while a magazine writer averaged 13.5

Ronnie Sox got into the 12's just by removing the air cleaner.

I had a '69 383 roadrunner 4 speed in high school in 1970 and raced it at Cecil County and Atco Raceway in F Strickly. My best time was 14.26
