FMC : Would you just stop with the Aston Martins already? Gees. Is that yours? Is a full time mechanic required? I do like 'em a lot. Life itself is a gift. Live it up if you can.

Here's a 340 of mine that resided in my '68 Barracuda. It made 530 horses -- at the rear wheels. "Ignorance you can correct, you can't fix stupid." JWP If stupidity hurt, a lot of people would be walking around screaming. Semper Fidelis "Building Carpal Tunnel one round at a time"

I still like old school muscle. As in carbureted, no tuner stuff. I still miss the ol 347 stroker. HP was around 450-ish at the crank if I cranked it to 8,000 rpm's. After the roll bar was installed the car didn't have the same feel. So, I sold it. BTW, I've got a couple street/race 750 Holley's left over from the racing days. They're brand new HO versions tweaked by AED in Richmond. I also have a 650 HO that was only used one day at the track if anyone is interested.

Thanks guys! It was a mean little motor that really made my little Barracuda scoot -- it weighed less than 3,000-lbs. A bit of a handful on the street, but it was fast. 1969 1/2 M-Code Roadrunner in K-2 Vitamin C Orange. The M-Codes were released mid-year in 1969 as strip ready lift off fiberglass hood 440 Holley Six Barrels (Six-pack for Dodge Super Bee) on an Edlebrock hi-rise. Check out the factory front wheel discs as I enter the garage. Came close to causing many an accident on the highway going to shows at 65 MPH tach reading 4200 (stock dana 60 with stock 410's). Motor screaming and front wheels looking locked up freaked some people out a bit. ______________________ DRSS ______________________ Hunt Reports 2015 His & Her Leopards with Derek Littleton of Luwire Safaris - http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/2971090112 2015 Trophy Bull Elephant with CMS http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/1651069012 DIY Brooks Range Sheep Hunt 2013 - http://forums.accuratereloadin...901038191#9901038191 Zambia June/July 2012 with Andrew Baldry - Royal Kafue http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/7971064771 Zambia Sept 2010- Muchinga Safaris http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/4211096141 Namibia Sept 2010 - ARUB Safaris http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/6781076141

I live in Alaska....no North and South here. Last clip....The six barrel has vacumn actuated outboard carbs and I always loved the sound when they opened. The squealing at the end is my goofy wife. ______________________ DRSS ______________________ Hunt Reports 2015 His & Her Leopards with Derek Littleton of Luwire Safaris - http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/2971090112 2015 Trophy Bull Elephant with CMS http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/1651069012 DIY Brooks Range Sheep Hunt 2013 - http://forums.accuratereloadin...901038191#9901038191 Zambia June/July 2012 with Andrew Baldry - Royal Kafue http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/7971064771 Zambia Sept 2010- Muchinga Safaris http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/4211096141 Namibia Sept 2010 - ARUB Safaris http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/6781076141

Wow! Where's the power brakes, cruise control, power steering, 500-watt RMS stereo, power windows? Damn, us old ducks sure had to suffer back then. I was very lucky my '69 Plymouth Road Runner had a horde! And a stick that said "Hurst"; and a 383 with an Iskenderian cam, and headers, and side pipes, and a bench seat. Damn, I miss that car. Also miss my 1973 Pontiac 455 SD Trans Am (Named after the Trans American racing series that ran in Canada and the US.)

I had an orange '69 Road Runner as well -- started life as a 383 4-speed car and ended up with a 440 six-pack and progressed from there. It was a mid-eleven second ride when all was said and done. Absolutely amazes me the times that the guys are running in F.A.S.T. today. All on bias ply tires. I know. When I was a magazine hack on the automotive side, I was fairly obsessed with these cars. Unbelievable how fast they are actually running. "Ignorance you can correct, you can't fix stupid." Chit! My Lexus ES 350 has 270+ hp and would outrun any of those muscle cares with less than an engine size that started with the number "4". "Course, it sure as God made little green frogs, doesn't should like my Road runner, nor any other big V-8. Them were the days.
