Just picked up a #1-B in 204 Ruger this weekend.

Have no use for the caliber, looking to rebarrel - but need approximate dimensions for the #1-V barrel, can't find anybody that has one around here.

Length of straight taper in front of the receiver = ?

Is the front sight base on the same plane as the rear(O.D. the same at both spots?)

Barrel O.D. one inch from the end of the straight taper = ?

Muzzle O.D. at finished length (?) = ?

Thanks for the help, can't seem to find the Varmint contour listed on anybody's barrel making websites.

When I barreled mine, Pac-Nor had the dimensions I do believe and copied that pattern, although carried it to 26".

If you are dealing with a barrel maker they should be able to duplicate it.
