The bolt face should be right, but as Jeffeosso points out, the feed rails may be too wide to hold the slimmer case of the H & H. It's easy enough to stick about three H & H rounds in the Ultra magazine to see if this is a problem. | |||

I would think that changing the follower to an H&H follower would handle most any feeding issue, but I could be wrong. Difficulty is inevitable Misery is optional | |||

FWIW, I just stuffed three 375 H&H dummy rounds into a 338 RUM mag and they fed fine. The feed rails on a RUM receiver is only .010" wider than a normal mag action, so there isn't a lot of difference there. Might take a normal mag box, the follower is the same. But I would try it with some 300H&H shells before I got too involved with it. That long neck and shoulder may cause problems.
