very well, if you have a good smith do it.. i am working on using my 4th axis/mandrel/tailstock to hold these, as I want better than I am doing with interupted cuts on my lathe. look up remington model 30 and you'll see exactly what a moderate level of rework can do jeffe opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? The P17 is a natural for reworking, I think it'll clean up like a charm. Who made it? I just bought 2 Winchester actions the other day, now I'm just waiting to get some time off to go pick them up. Gonna build one in .375 H&H for a friend of mine to get him started in the big bore arena, than I'm building one for myself, a .470 Capstick. These actions are fairly strong and built well, depending on who made it. They have a lot of potential for making a amazing custom rifle. "Molotov Cocktails don't leave fingerprints" -Dr. Ski | |||
