I just bought a Win M-70 Classic Featherweight, BOSS, .308 on gunbroker. Hate the BOSS, have a great pre-64 FW in .30-06 so this one is a donor. I'm thinking Hill Country Rifles (done business with them before - great company) for a rebarrel to .358 Win, McMillian edge stock, Talley Lightweight rings, Leupold 1.75x6. Anyone done a similar rebarrel? Any idea what this should weigh? The Stock will be around 22oz. Should be perfect to haul around the Adirondacks. Doug

kinda the same... look a mexican mauser, a tiny light barrel, and a colt raptor stock and put them together... the lightest possible for a decent investment is the best... so aim for 6.5 before scope jeffe opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? With a Featherweight contour barrel, you should be able to easily be around 7 lbs. scoped, if you use lightweight mounts a Leupold 4X or something similar.

I used a douglas #2, 21# long, and not much stock... yeah, 6.5 is doable, but be careful in your choices j opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round?
