Custom .358 Win
I just bought a Win M-70 Classic Featherweight, BOSS, .308 on gunbroker. Hate the BOSS, have a great pre-64 FW in .30-06 so this one is a donor.

I'm thinking Hill Country Rifles (done business with them before - great company) for a rebarrel to .358 Win, McMillian edge stock, Talley Lightweight rings, Leupold 1.75x6.

Anyone done a similar rebarrel? Any idea what this should weigh? The Stock will be around 22oz.

Should be perfect to haul around the Adirondacks.

kinda the same...
look a mexican mauser, a tiny light barrel, and a colt raptor stock and put them together...

the lightest possible for a decent investment is the best... so aim for 6.5 before scope

With a Featherweight contour barrel, you should be able to easily be around 7 lbs. scoped, if you use lightweight mounts a Leupold 4X or something similar.

I used a douglas #2, 21# long, and not much stock... yeah, 6.5 is doable, but be careful in your choices
