.....well, really I need screw sets. Does anyone know a source for grip screws with the escutcheons like they use on Smith DAs, Ruger SAs, or Colt SAAs? I'm making some grips and need some screws that will look a bit better than the dry wall screws that I use to hold everything else together if duct tape doesn't work. Wink

Have you tried Midway or Brownells? They have the screws, not sure about the escutcheons - a local fish market might but be warned, August doesn't have an "R" in it.

I don't have a catalog handy, so I can't check if they still have them, but I believe Brownell's used to sell estucheon screw sets with hex heads etc for custom grips. Even carried the esctuchion inserts for the wood.

I looked in Brownell's catalog and couldn't find them, but that doesn't mean they aren't there. I'll call them and see if they have them. Thanks for the suggestions, amazing that more of them weren't graphically physical. Roll Eyes

Go here http://smith-wessonforum.com/eve and put an add in the classifieds. There are usually several people on this board that sell them.

Brownell’s has them (#080-034-006) the screws are stainless but the escutcheons are brass.

I am really disappointed. I opened this topic expecting something interesting. Old men tend to seek out some form of excitement since life itself is getting pretty routine. Next time at least include some racey photo as a reward for opening up a topic like this. You know... cheap thrills.
