I received my bases and rings from Matt in the mail today…Yes they were delivered late but they are of the quality machining that Matt promised in our initial phone conversation.

Most definitely these bases and rings are an option that should be considered for your rifle; as you can see from 16Bore's photographs on page 2, they do allow for a low scope mounting as well as the use of larger objective lenses.

Very nice products Matt.

I received mine yesterday and am delighted with the quality. I was shorted one set of rings and called Matt. He has promised delivery and apologized. A long wait, but a really quality looking producet. I truly hope Matt gets all of his production issues and any other problems worked out. Our shooting community needs quality options and quality businesses to succeed.

Here are a few more pics as compared to Talley's. Both sets of Talley's are mediums, Matt's are lows..

Geez....some of you guys are hard on a guy! You will wait a year for a custom gun and cant wait 6 weeks for rings and bases. I will order a barrel and have to wait 3 or more months! Dont even think about a stock.
Matt where are you at in Prineville? I am through there about every 2 weeks. Maybe I could take up some of your time and shoot the breeze. Roll Eyes

It's not a question of the product..yet.It's about being TOLD one thing, then nothing happens,it was a very "clouded"deal of sorts.
My money was returned and I'm back to Talleys.
but...

My question is, I see a large gap at the top when the rings are tightened down on a scope,I hope the screws are good, seems to me,that could be a collection point for water on a hunting rifle.

Phil,
I'm just not sure what to tell you at this point that's suitable for the forums.
You got bent out of shape because I failed to deliver the parts when I said I would and I apologized for that and then honored your request of returning you your money. You received your money 3 months ago, yet you're still on here running me down and insinuating that I'm somehow operating a shady operation or that my rings and bases have "yet" to be determined if they are quality.

You made a change order to the finish that you wanted on your original bases and rings on 11/8/10. On 11/11/10, after explaining or at least trying to explain to you what happened in the delay, you respond back with this message.

Matt,
Thank you for the responses. A little communication goes much farther than "none in this business".Let's keep an open line on this,it appears to be a great set-up.....Phil

That was a Thursday. Come Monday on the 14th, you start the "WTF Matt Williams" thread on 24hourcampfire and begin your smear campaign, warning all customers that I'm some kind of crook and you want your money back.

You got your money 3 months ago and while I take full responsibility for causing the delays that caused you to back out, I would appreciate it if you put a stop to your smearing of my name and products. It's gone on long enough and you have failed miserably to live up to your "word". In case you forgot what that was, here's the refresher.

Please refund my credit card as soon as possible and I’ll move on…..

Phil Reynolds…aka “rifle”

I'd like to see your keep to your word Phil.

I hope there never comes a day in my life that I get the pleasure you do out of running somebody down; that life is so utterly miserable that this is the best way I can find to spend my time.
I also pray that the worst thing that happens to me from here on out is that I might be wronged as bad as you were on this deal.

Blagg,
I'm up towards the Prineville Reservoir. Give me a call and a time frame and we'll kill a pot of coffee.

I have been a long time lurker on this site and just decided to join because of this thread.

After reading this thread I thought that theese mounts and rings would work well on a mauser project that I am working on.

So I contacted Matt. He e mailed me back the same day and we e mailed back and forth a few times. He answered all of my questions and gave me a drawing that outlined some dimensions that I was concerned about.

So I decided to place an order with him. So far the communication and support has been great.

Just thought that I would relay my experance.
