Any idea's who's work this is. It is a sleeve that is attached to the bolt shroud that extends the cocking cam so you maintain full firing pin travel. Don [/url]

Thing is the rest of the rifle doesn't seem to have the same workmanship so I figured this was a purchased part. Don

I don't know but I need one for a rifle I have that gives light strikes (converted to cock-on-open).

Don, I thought I had seen most of these conversions, but this is a new one for me. I usually welded up the cam in the bolt and recut for the cock on opening. Is this a new machined shroud with a longer threaded section? Could you place this shroud next to a standard enfield rear shroud and photo for a better view?

I agree 100%. I can't understand this "fetish" for cock on opening. I prefer a rifle where ALL the camming action on opening is used on the extraction of the fired case.

Les, I'll get so more pics later, but here is one I had on the computer already. It loks as there was just a groove cut in the factory shroud. Also looks as the original cocking piece was used too. Don
