Is there any reason not to have the same trigger pull on my 458wm mod 70(pre64)as I have on my 30-06 springfield?

None at all, assuming that your '06 has an excellent trigger, of course. ![]() IMHO, every rifle worth shooting deserves an excellent trigger. All of my heavy rifles have clean-breaking, 2 to 3 pound single stage triggers. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

Well, I was referring to the weight of the pull-forgot to say that!

I agree about trigger pull. 2 lbs is perfect. Garrett

The weight is not as important to me as the absence of creep and a clean break are.

Only caveat is be sure to tell people it has a decent trigger. Many people seem to expect a DGR to have a pistol trigger. (I have a great 2.5# trigger on my 375R... and I forgot to tell someone about it before he shot it...)
