The older ones were fairly ajustable in themselfs. I am planing on buying a new trigger for my sons the one that came from the factory sucks. Nothing like my older one.

When you say old, how old. Mine has a black but pad. I've seen them with a red pad. Is there a quick way to tell if my trigger is adjustable.

The adjustment was deleted after Serial No's prefexed by 133-xxxx. So if you have 134-xxx prefix, the trigger is the new type.

The Moyers is a copy of the old-style Ruger trigger, and works just fine if you don't need a set trigger. Apparently, the Kepplinger is a work of art, though I never tried it - but it isn't cheap... G;

I have a Moyer's trigger intalled on mine. I set it at 2 3/4 pounds, which is just perfect for me as it's a hunting rifle. Good crisp break to it too. Don
