i was thinking about the idea of seating out the bullets to 2.7 oal in the marlin guide gun to make up for loss of barrel length and to help with shooting the 550 gr. pile driver bullets. what are the advantages gained and pitfalls? what problems if any in shooting factory length ammo in the new 2.7 rifle? thanks cheers

I can't answer your question about how much better the 450ak is that the hot-loaded 45-70 but, if you are looking at a Marlin as the platform, the 450ak peasure runs too high. you can get away with a 50 ak in the marlin. For a 450ak, you will need something like a win 86 or 71
