My uncle recently acquired a mark x action brand new in the box. It was one of the ones made in england. Any experience with these actions, BTW he's thinking of building a 257 bob. Auburn University BS '09, DVM '17

They are a very good commercial 98 style action. Some don't like the trigger. They all can use a touch of smoothing. I happen to prefer the older version with the release in the guard. The cross pin release was the later ones. Some of the lalter ones also had a shorter firing pin fall. It will be perfect for a 257 Bob hunting rifle. I don't think any were actually made in England they just passed through on the way to the states. As usual just my $.02 Paul K
