Could a Ruger #No 1 be rebarreled to the .577 T-Rex? If not what would be the largest bore cartridge the Ruger #No 1 would be capable of handling?

I wouldn't do the Rex with that little bittie barrel shank in the Ruger. The 577 is a low pressure tortoise so it works.

My long 585HE will work in #1. I going to
do one. And it's diameter works fine with that
thread size as I have my 585 in Ruger 77 with same
barrel thread. If NEF holds it, a #1 surely will.
And you'll have more power, if you want, than
Trex(you know the guys who don't answer the phone).Ed
