What they are not telling you is what the range is with a towing load. Only guy I know who has tried towing with an EV said his battery dropped visibly as he went. Way less than 1/4 the range. An EV commuter vehicle is reasonable. Stopping once every hour or so for recharge on long trips sounds like torture, especially if one has to wait to get on the cord. Conventional vehicles get 100% of range back in way less than 10 min refueling time. While home recharge of a commuter car is convenient, it’s not so good for distance work. | |||
