WE spent Easter break in the Maldives.

I have quite a selection of photos, both above and below water.

Above is my first installment.

I hope you enjoy them.

The above photos were taken with a Sony NEX 7 camera with teh standard 18-55mm lense.

I have also taken photos with a Panasonic FZ150, and Canon S100.

The underwater photos that I will post have been taken by a Panasonic GF3 in a Nauticam housing.

Do you have a photo of Hessa summiting the highest peak in the Maldive Republic, 2.4 meters above sea level?

The following twophotos are frame capture from our underwater video.

I am surprised how good they look!

That is indeed amazing clarity and color for video frame capture.
Is that ambient lighting? In shallow, crystal clear water?
Snorkel or scuba?

Takes me back to my first childhood hero: Lloyd Bridges of the TV show "SEA HUNT."
I dreamed of being a frogman before I dreamed of being a fighter pilot, then I got spectacles for near sightedness ...
Then I could see every leaf on every tree, and I became a squirrel hunter!

The video was taken with a video light, not sure about the depth as it was taken by a friend who borrowed my video camera.

Great stuff. However, this work appears good enough that you will attract people who will rip you off and use your efforts for there own purpose.

That said. Having done my share of diving also I can fully appreciate your work. It is so extensive I sometimes wonder if you have any time left to do anything else. Same for your yearly African trips with Walter and company.

This is a fantastic kaleidoscope of color, form, motion and texture that is virtually 3-D in presentation on my screen. Thanks.

However, 2 problems on my end:

Titan Trigger:
"titanf_mp4 Couldn't be downloaded"
I note that all the other files are ".mp4" not "_mp4" so suspect typo in file name.
Replace the "underline" with a "dot" maybe?

Sea Star:
"sstar.mp4 Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file."
First 34 seconds of the 41 second file worked fine. Stopped at 34 seconds.

There is my look in the mouth of the gift sea horse.
While I am at it, who was the girl in the bikini wading into the surf on the beach?
And why did you not zoom in on her?

I fixed the trigger fish - I missed a letter in the filename.

I suggest you download VLC media player.

It plays any media much better than WMP.

VLC media player now downloaded, will see how it improves things ...
