Hello All,
Sunday afternoon, and I was enjoying the dogs, so I thought I would share a couple of Leopolds Pictures

First day at new home with us
Hard too believe he was so small
His sire
Now in his prime
We have had so much fun with this amazing dog, and he is an absolute marvel with the other dogs

SGraves155A fine looking animal. Do he and Tessa get along well?

KwanHello Steve,
Yes, he does tolerate her more than I expected, I thought he would be much harder on her, but he is really soft and does not bite when he diciplines her, more of a hard nudge with the head,
As I say, I have had many dogs, and my safari company is even named after one , I thought I would never have another like him, but this Ridgeback is really specail

I bought him for hunting, and then my wife hijacked him, he has gone without her knowing and he loves the kill, but for me he is the ultimate protector of my wife

john wickhamlovely dog , how are they in the cold and wet
11 February 2009, 00:43
KwanJohn,
I do not about the cold, as where we are it is not that serious but wet weather is not a problem, except we have too wash their duvets more frequently !!!
No jokes, a RR will take over the house and make it seem natural at that

DieseltruckerWalter,
Great pics of your fellow, I myself was exposed to the breed on my first safari, and when we got back, I had found a breeder within a week. Ten years later, He is the best rascal I've ever owned, and is at present snoring on the floor.
I, like you, wanted something that would protect the family and hunt with. He protects alright, but doesnt get out to much to hunt, or momma has a fit.
Will post some pics of him soon as I figure out how to do so.
FYI. Got a great painter to paint Bwana for moms christmas present.
http://libbopearce.com/ she is a great person and artist.

BakesNice pups Kwan. I'm going to get another RR as soon as my house is finished. Great dogs.
John, my old RR Fred used to lay so close to the gas heater on a winters night in Canberra that his hair would singe and he'd shut off the heater

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"
