| If trained properly, every dog with a sense of smell should be able to find truffles. Training is more importante than the breed, basically the same way you train a dog to find narcotics or explosives. I saw different breeds doing this in Spain's Maestrazgo mountains near Teruel, an important área for truffles.
You can employ trained pigs, too, more intelligent than dogs but you need to be quick because they like to eat the truffles. |

| When not on the job, I consider that a dog is nicer to have in the house than a pig. Besides, pigs eat the truffles they find, dogs don't. |

| Maybe I should have trained my dog to hunt morel mushrooms? That would be fun.
