the metal plates were actually a circle about 1.5 feet from all sides, the marcopolo sheep and roe deer were live sizes, but i was shooting at 750 yards there. so its a good practice, and it gives u the confidence to make long shots, also they teach you how to make a shot reading the wind meter, etc. good fun if nothing else :-)

I recall shooting my 17hmr from the very same spot with Andrew holding about 11 imaginary stories in mid air and hitting the plates repeatedly after 30 shots of trial and error !

I paid up my membership immediately after that for the next two years ....
