Late September (Alaska's interior)
Decided to post this photo I took a few weeks ago near my home. Used a Canon Rebel XT with a Tokina 12-24mm lens, and a Hoya circular polarizer. It was around 7:00PM when i took the photo.

Congrats, that one will be exceptionally good eating all winter. I have just returned from hunting in TZ and I wish I knew how to post an image on this forum. I have what I think are excellent images of a live, big elephant along w/ a few other things. Dr.C

That's true. This moose is excellent eating. What my hunting partner and I do is to skin it and quarter it right away. We immediately place the meat in game bags, and move them to a shaded area with lots of air movement to keep cool and dry. We also wash the knives often, to avoid putting dirt from the hide on the meat.
