Finally, I have possession of a fully restored Win 92 in 44 Spl. This rifle will hold and feed 14 rounds flawlessly. Action & lever has been colour case hardened, bolt and hammer have been fire blued and the locking lugs & extractor finely polished. New barrel has had about 200rounds of cast lead only but has original stock

I tried it out at 50m and it shoots as good as it looks :-D :-D While 44 Spl was never a Winchester chambering, it should not detract from the shear pleasure of shooting this gem for many years!

This rifle belonged to my friend "Slim Chance" who died of cancer this year and I will carry it with pride beer.

Hold still varmint; while I plugs yer!
If'n I miss, our band of 45/70 brothers, will fill yer full of lead!

very nice looking rifle, when I started hunting my mentor only used a 92 in 44-40 and never saw the need for anything else.

Beautiful rifle with personal history for you, you'll both live happily ever after Big Grin

I just bought a used Marlin Cowboy in .44 mag. Using my normal .44 load of a 240gr swc and 10 gr of Unique it's as fun as my cap gun was when i was five years old. Except I didn't know to put a receiver mounted peep on my capgun...
