I'm getting excited about the impending release (I hope) of the Marlin XLR in .444 Marlin.

But those BLR's are looking GOOD!!! Big Grin

That's an aluminum receiver that's nickel plated, and a stainless barrel.

I picked up one when they first came out.
Aluminum receiver does not match the finish on the barrel and the magazine was blue.
To me, a browning fan, the gun looked like misc parts put together.
Give me a steel receiver BLR any day

I am one gun away from being happy

I like mine in .450 Marlin. It's my only Browning so I'm not attached to any particular "look." It's the perfect addition to my other .450M's, a Marlin 1895M and a bolt gun built on a Ruger 77. The BLR was a gift so that makes it even better! clap

For some odd reason, BoomStick, that makes sense to me. Or, rebarrel for .416 Taylor, just because...

I bought a Lightening last year to convert to .416 Taylor, then lost interest, sold it and bought a stainless remmy safari in .458. This stainless BLR has me thinking of the .416 Taylor project again.

Don't know if I'm excited about the SS BLR's, but I have one in 300 short mag. I've shot it with irons and it seems to be accurate. I'm not a lever guy, but its a neat gun, but with an 8 pound trigger that I understand a good gunsmith may be able to get it down to 4 or 5.........kinda hard for me to get excited about that. If I can get the trigger down, will probably grow fond of it. Very well made, good fit and finish, other than the trigger, it a nice gun.
