Photobucket's racket !
I'm not ready to accept their latest blackmail and am willing to move to another photo hosting site.  Any recommendation welcome.
Thanks in advance.

3 shots do not make a group, they show a point of aim or impact.
5 shots are a group.

There is a fairly long discussion here:
Photobucket Ransom???

Imgur is free and has worked fine for me, so far. Dogcat reported some problems trying to upload more than 4 photos at a time. I made a short tutorial; just look down a few lines from here.

It may be expensive but its not blackmail. You want your investments to have a return. So do they.

return on their investment?!?! Hosting a free photo sharing sight is not an investment. Selling advertising on that sight might be. But giving someone a free gift then taking it back and holding it for money......?

what they gave you is usage, not ownership. kind of like a free lease for awhile. they have stated that their advertising is not paying the bills. I suspect that as everyone runs to other so called free sites those sites will also start to ask for money as their costs will jump compared to their revenue.

There is no such thing as a free lunch. somewhere, someway, somebody always pays.

Lets see, I've been using Photobucket since I started posting pix on AR. Under my current screen name that would be 16 years. Upon registering with photobucket I bought storage. I am a businessman. I make a profit on my business or I don't do it. I'm not a free-loader, and I don't expect others to tote my load or pay my bills. When I started seeing folk bitch and complain, I upped my plan from 50 gigabites to 100 gigabites. Cost, 100 per year billed annually. I probably have 15k images there. Have not missed a beat!

To my understanding after December 31, 2017 your "plan" will no longer be available for #rd party hosting....you will need to pay the $400 to keep your images in use as 3rd party....
