One of my companies awarded me with a all expenses paid cruise to anywhere, so my wife and I chose Alaska. We spent 7 days touring the Inside Passage visiting Juneau, Skagway (side trip into BC and the Yukon)and Ketchikan, where I caught the only King Salmon caught last Thursday. Saw two of the minor Glaciers, Black Bear, Harbour Seals, Mountain Goats, Eagles and bought some investment native art pieces (I'm a long time artifact collector). Had over 350 pictures in my new 12mb camera and somehow lost it on the way home. I'm guessing someone on a Delta flight from Seattle to Atlanta; Delta/Korean Air Atlanta to Nashville has a new camera. I had it snapped up in my coat pocket and it must have fallen out. Oh well, I still have my memories. Wonderful country, hope to come back and stay a lot longer. Can't say enough good things about Alaskan's. No matter where we were, we were treated like friends and family, not goggle-eyed tourists. Gained 6 pounds feeding at the trough on the Hawg Boat! Pretty much sums up what cruise ships are about. That and finding curious ways to part you from your money. Men: tell your wife there are no such things as Black or Blue diamonds!!! "Black Diamonds" are nothing more than Hematite (stone) and "Blue Diamonds" are nothing more than color enhanced "diamonds" or cubic zirconia.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

My wife and I did that cruise on the Celebrity Millenium. It was an OUTSTANDING cruise in some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen. Yep, lots of memories however the camera did make it back with us.

Ken....
