My hunting partner and I set out on an archery bear hunt, we both had griz tags, but he was looking for a nice black bear. My quarry was Griz with my bow, a feat I've been trying to accomplish for many years. We found out about a fresh moose kill and there were bears in the area, and tracks near a river revealed an exceptional set. We come up on this huge bear and try a stalk, and he either winded us or he heard something, finally we spot him again making his way back thru a game trail so we set up and the wind was right, he crossed my path at 19 yards. Griz down !!!!
