My wife and I just returned from a wonderful trip to Argentina. We started with an overnight in Buenos Aries which included a very enjoyable tango show. The next day we flew to San Carlos Bariloche to begin the first of two adventures. Over the next four days we floated the Collon Cura River with a progressive camp, fly fishing for brown and rainbow trout. This was a truly great experience with stags roaring every night, outstanding food, wonderful scenery and awesome fishing.
Then it was back to Buenos Aires and onto a first class overnight bus to La Pampa Provence for seven days of stag hunting with Quini Malal. I was a bit anxious about the bus trip, but it is now my preferred method of travel. Open bar, a hot dinner and off to sleep. When you wake up, you have breakfast and you have arrived.
I will not go into detail about the hunt as I plan to write an article about it, but I will say it was one of the best hunts of my life. The people were great, the food outstanding and the guides of unbelievable skill. Hunting free ranging roaring stags is one of the greatest, most challenging hunts on the planet.
I was very, very fortunate to take an outstanding trophy, but so did a few others including our friend Lorenzo.
And now for some photos.

bwanamrmGreat report and nice trophies Scott! You didn't run into any reprobates from Texas did you? Sorry I missed the trip!

h kittleScott,
I look forward to the story. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I am looking forward to seeing how easy or not you are able to get your trophies back into the U.S.

The antlers and capes are being taken to the exporter this week. We'll see how long it takes from there. Maria at Hunter's International has recommended a new company, so I have hope.

LorenzoAy ay ay...that deer takes my breath away every time I see it.....
Next year I will hunt them with my double

For what I heard Eugenio has the hunting rights of Quini Malal exclusively now. I think we will have some good years to come..

Please say hi from me to your wife and friends. I hope to share some hunting days again with you in the future.
