Hi All

We have the two following ele bull specials for next season. The hunts are in the Dande East area and or Ward 11 which is part of Dande North and has the Angwa and Mukanga rivers which is always good for ele bulls.

Trophy expectation is 40 lbs. Our average for the last 2 years has been 45lbs- the biggest been 70lbs. This hunt is a good tracking hunt and NO night time shooting. We expect an excellent season with good ele bulls as we have put in several new roads into the area and are in the process of grading them now which will make seeing tracks easier next season!

I hunted in Dande East in June 2011. A link to the hunt report is posted below with pictures of the camp, etc. There are a ton of pans in this area that will hold early season water. When I was there it was like walking on the surface of the moon around the pans with all the dried tracks in the mud. There is also a lot of jess in this block that will be nice and green early season for those that are looking for an exciting hunting in the jess. Eeker

Buzz,

Can the 2 bull option be taken on a 2x1 hunt?

Hi Greg

Unfortunately not. It would be slightly more expensive as we would need to get both hunters on the hunt permit to make it legal. With that in mind we would be looking at the below

12 DAY DOUBLE ELE BULL 2/1 HUNT
TOTAL SAFARI COSTS $25500 EACH
THIS INCLUDES 2 ELE BULLS
2% AND 4% GOV LEVIES
SHARED DRIVE IN AND OUT
2X CITES TAGS
2X DIP AND PACK
2X MEDIVAC

This gives you an extra two days hunting @$500/day above the 10 day special. hope this helps. Cheers for now Buzz

Hi Guys

We have 2 TEB left as 1 was taken by a prominent AR fellow! There are lots of bulls moving now and would love to do a hunt between the shows as I feel we would have an excellent hunt- that would be between 11 Jan to 30 Jan when I head back for Vages. Any Takers?

Bill, if you are going early season when it will be thick and green in and around those pans in the jesse, that should be some kind of experience. Be sure to pack some spare Fruit of the Looms.

Bill

This is a hunt that I really look forward to! I know how much you enjoy hunting with your boys and with that in mind , even though the April dates are concidered traditionaly excellent dates, if you would like to change to the Jan dates to accomadate the guys I am all over that.

At the moment there are a seriuos amount of bulls! We are also putting in a camp in Ward 11 which borders Chewore South and has the Angwa and Mukanga rivers running through it. When hunting the East you are also alloud to hunt Ward 11 and with a camp there it will make it a nice option!

Buzz, I'm just getting over the jet lag from the last hunt!!! And anyway, Brett's in school and Bill's a working man now, I wish though.

Mike, absolutely, this will be my 5th "early season" ele hunt, I love it!

I do hope somebody jumps on this!

Well done Bill! Hope you catch up with one of the 60 or 70 pounders that show up in that area from time to time! Wish I was headed over with you!

FOLKS

Thanks for that we are now sold on the Dande East special and look forward to a great year!

I do have the same deal open for an Early season SAVE ele bull. It will be in our Hammond Area and like the Dande Early season there are quite a few bulls that come through to raid the villagers on the otherside. Trophy expectation should be 40lbs. Cheers for now Buzz

Buzzer:

Regarding the Hammond bull, I can report personally seeing a 55lbs bull there. Additionally, a friend of mine shot a 60+ next door (ARDA) just last month. I have first hand reports of two or three "known" bulls in the area that should exceed 50 lbs per side. All that to say that a guy could get a nice surprise on this hunt.

Also, I watched "The Essence of Elephant Hunting" last night. Well done, again.

Hi Will

Thanks for that Will. Everyone knows that the buff are outstanding on Hammond so I was confident on details there - however with only 1 ele alternating yearly not many eles have been shot there so I did not want to over sell the hunt!

Thanks for the info and you are probably more qualified to comment on SAVE then most PH having hunted there alot! I look forward to someone been pleasently surpised on this hunt! See you all at SCI cheers Buzz
