For those of you who love to fish and want a deal with a great outfit in Alaska during the Fall season, I have a 7 day trip available during late September 2014. Dates are September 13-20th & Sept 20-27. Cost is $4,500 USD per person for AR members (regular $7,250). Couples/Sibling's are welcome. Rainbow Bay Lodge in Pedro Bay, AK is your host. Groups are limited to 12 persons. You arrive around noon on your first day, then depart on the following Saturday. Fish for Halibut, Sockeye, Chum and Silver Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Char, Artic Grayling and big Northern Pike in lake Iliamna (2nd largest lake in North America). Fly into Anchorage, AK then charter via Merrill Field onto Pedro Bay (est cost is $465 r/t via Lake Clark Air). One of my friends saw 32 Brown Bear's last Fall (Brown Bear not available until next Spring). Each day you can decide what you want to fish for, where and whether to use fly, spinning or casting tackle. Friend of mine two weeks ago. He's coming back for the third time this Fall.

I make a similar trip 3 times a year from July through September kings, chum, silvers, trophy rainbows. All with daily float plane fly outs to west of the Alaska Range for a couple thousand less including meals. I have been doing this yearly since 2000 an on occasion when one in our group wants to bring home meat we add a day of halibut fishing from Deep Creek.

Maybe you should go into the outfitting business so we all could enjoy such cheap fishing trips. I'm sure you enjoy the same quality Rainbow Bay offers in every way. Tell us more so we can get in on the action.

Then becomes a job and a business requiring costs and profit to figure in raising prices.

True, Sockeye will be few and far between, most will be Bear food by then but I include any that might be a possibility. Silver's will be there along with Steelhead/Rainbow, Char, Pike, Grayling and Lake Trout on a neighboring lake. Halibut will be available, weather permitting. Most are choosing the first week. L.D. Keith judging by the amount of PMs I've gotten since I posted my previous reply I'd comment that many members are looking for someone like me to steer them towards something they can afford. I have and will continue to do so as I have no need to make a cent off of what I've learned over the years living on and off, hunting and fishing in Alaska.
I have made every type of fishing trip to Ak. one could envision from floating lodges in the SE to back packing into small lakes on the western slopes, staying in 5 Star Orvis lodges , to camping in storage containers over night, flyouts on floats, and most everything else.
If you'd like I could hook you up to some great float plane fly in fishing staying at a very comfortable lodge for around $300/day. I did that very same trip with Larry Zonka while filming his TV show North to Alaska.

Kind of you to offer, but why Hi-Jack my post? I find that very rude that you would do that. Saeed allows any AR member who is in the outfitting, guiding or direct association business to advertise free of charge, so why use my post to advertise your business? I wouldn't come on your post and tell people I can do it cheaper especially bragging about it. I would address you by name but unfortunately, you only go by a screen name.

I think you missed my point...I haven't a business just willing to help a fellow member out while not looking to make a cent or build up credit for a free trip for myself...I would think as a member in good standing here on AR you'd appreciate that...one outdoorsman to another.
But alas if you need to make a buck more than abet a fellow member by all means do so with no fear of me posting on your business posts.

If you want to help out fellow members, start it on the AK section. What you are doing is crapping on his post plain and simple.

2th doc, I'm not making or asking a cent on this trip. It is normal for me to invite my fellow AR members to hunt and fish with me at no charge or commission from them. My friends own this lodge and I'm doing this as a favor to people I like and our fellow sportsmen and women. Deposits will be paid directly to the lodge, not me. In fact, a previous commitment will prevent me from going on either date. I can appreciate you trying to help others, but posting it here just isn't a nice way to introduce your assistance. PS: for those asking about Halibut fishing, RBL has a 55' sport fisher docked in Cook Inlet (15 minute flight from the lodge).

This just moved up into the top 3 of the 2015 bucket list...
