We now have two private landowner Elk tags that have become available due to a pair of hunters having to change their dates. First week of October, or anytime between Nov 15th and late December; 5 consecutive hunting days. Includes guide, food, lodging on the property and tag for one bull Elk each. Hunt alone or bring a partner. $5,500 per tag plus your NM license (around $571). If you do not have an opportunity on a bull, come back next year at half price. 12,000 acres of private land. Land is open grazing land with mixed juniper. Easy area to hunt, so those who don't want to climb steep mountains will love it. Hunt from blinds overlooking winter wheat or spot and stalk. I saw Elk every day last month when I was there hunting Antelope. Area is about 1 hour south of Raton in Wagon Mound. Contact me for details.  This gives you an idea of the terrain. Not too bad at all for those who can't or don't want to climb rough mountains or steep cliffs. Good grazing means food for Elk.
