Johan Calitz has a late season lion available to hunt in his Niassa Reserve block (L2). These late season hunts are tough, but lino mane quality is very good and this is a very good price.

They are doing this hunt on an 18 day basis starting on or after October 15. October and November can be very hot in the Niassa so clients need to make sure to make provisions to shoot a lot of bait (spoils quickly). It's because of this we've talked them into letting you shoot bait animals for the license fee and 50% of the trophy fee. Bait animals will be taken from the plainsgame quota (Waterbuck, hartebeest, warthog, etc.).

Price - $35,000.00 INCLUDING LICENSE AND TROPHY FEE FOR LION

If lion is not shot, $12,640.00 will be refunded to the client.

This rate includes 1x1 hunting for 18 days, concession fees, conservation fees, license and trophy fee for lion and Reserve fee for lion.

Not included are additional animals license and trophy fees (15% discount on all trophy fees), rifle permits @ $175 each, Air charters from Lilongwe ($4,500 round trip), dip and pack and hotels before or after the safari.

The Niassa is a rugged area and not for an unfit hunter. Hunters should expect to walk a fair distance on this hunt and if necessary should expect to fly camp to stay on the tracks of the lion.
