A client of ours cannot make his lion hunt and is losing his deposit. This area has historically been over 95% on Lion success rates since hunting opened back up in Zambia in 2003. This outfitter runs both the Chikwa Musalangu and We st Musalangu GMA’s in North Eastern Zambia. Bordered by the North Luangwa National Park, these areas are divided by the Luangwa River and offer a wide variety of species including Lion, Buffalo, Hippo, Roan, Eland, Cookson’s Wildebeest, Lichenstein Hartebeest, Grysbok, Puku, Chobe Bushbuck, Reedbuck, Kudu, Common Waterbuck, Warthog, Zebra, Impala, Hyena, Baboon and Common Duiker. The terrain is a beautiful Mopani Woodland and Miombo Forest with dense thickets and adjacent hills that offer an African landscape that is difficult to beat anywhere else on the continent.

This safari is due to take place from late July through early August, but more dates may be available. The professional hunters on this safari are some of the best in Zambia, and are specialists when it comes to hunting cats. Buffalo in this area are very good, with the largest bull taken last year being over 45”. The pricing on this safari is as follows:

I'll have to agree with you on that one, but I'm not 100% if it's him or not.

I hunted that area in 2000. A huge concession. At that time there were very few people there and the country was very wild. Got a lion, roan etc. The river was just choked with hippo and croc.

I have hunted with Mike and Ross for many years. No one runs a camp or a hunt better. I think they have something like 11,000 sq kilometers they can hunt. There are plenty of cats and big buffalo along with a large variety of plains game.

Thanks for the reference Mark, their track record on cats is pretty tough to match. I have yet to personally hunt with the Heaths, but Jeff has known Mike for 20 years and he's been a solid producer the whole time.
